April 2018 - Technical & Business Seminars for plumbers and heating engineers

Protect your business from boiler warranty claims, employment status claims and get the lowdown on The Each Home Counts Review

Fernox and Croner join APHC to host six regional seminars to provide essential technical and business updates that you need to be aware of to protect your business.

APHC are working with water treatment manufacturer Fernox and the operator of APHC’s free business and legal advice line, Croner, to deliver six regional seminars designed to update you on incoming legislation and gain valuable insight into protecting your business from future boiler warranty claims and employment status claims.

Fernox will be speaking about how heating engineers can protect themselves from potential future claims should a breakdown occur during the warranty period of a boiler, as extended warranties are linked to terms and conditions including having an annual service, that appropriate safety checks are implemented and of course that the installation was done correctly with the appropriate water treatment levels. This is pertinent as APHC are aware of instances where boiler manufacturers have taken water samples on callouts for non-system water related issues.

Croner are going to provide a valuable insight into how the abolition of tribunal fees is seeing an increase in employment claims and what you can do to protect yourself from employment status claims from contractors which can be very costly and time consuming. Plus, all attendees will be able to book a free Business Health Check where Croner will review existing policy and procedure documents, to ensure they are up to date and legally compliant.

APHC’s Technical Services Manager will be providing an overview on The Each Home Counts Review which potentially has far reaching ramifications for plumbing and heating installers, including additional costs, bureaucracy and the requirement to meet another quality mark.
