Following the changes announced in Decembers Hot & Cold it is now that time when volunteers and nominations for the Regional Advisory Group (RAG) Members are required. RAG members are essential to the regional representation of APHC and give the members the greatest opportunity to influence their Association about issues in their region.
Please note that even if you were a RAG member in 2006 you are still required to go through the nomination process for 2007. As mentioned at the recent Regional Meetings and in Hot and Cold, RAG meetings will be held in each region twice yearly during the months of April and October.
These are new and revamped meetings to replace the former Regional Meetings, whereby only RAGs and Local Association Secretaries will be invited. The meetings will be fully minuted and all actions will be forwarded to the board for their review and action.
Attendees will be fully expensed for the meetings and enclosed you will find a RAG nomination form, please complete this form detailing the nominee (members may nominate themselves and another member), ensuring the nominee is a fully paid up member of APHCL under the licensing criteria. There are 6 RAGs, one for each region and a maximum of 17 positions per RAG. All nominations need to be seconded and be accompanied by brief details of why they should be nominated.
It is important you complete the form accurately and give as much detail as possible as the information will be used in an over-subscribed position (more than 17 candidates in a region). Please return the nomination form to Membership Services at the above address by no later than 2nd March 2007.
If you have any questions about the nomination process, please do not hesitate to contact Membership Services on 02476 470 626 or e-mail members@aphc.co.uk.
