Over the coming months, the new UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) will carry out an assessment of SSCs. Those that clearly demonstrate their effectiveness and show they have the potential to move forward will be licensed to continue operating beyond 2009.As SummitSkills represents employers across the building services engineering sector, the UKCES is seeking members views on how SummitSkills is performing. SummitSkills is committed to having a skills system which is responsive to needs.
Employers influence and leadership can make sure that the right supply of training is available to meet demand. Established around five years ago SummitSkills has created strong working relationships across the industry with employers, industry bodies, government, training providers and funding providers.The UKCES is asking all members who have worked with SummitSkills to complete an online questionnaire asking for feedback on how SummitSkills performs.
