The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies established by SummitSkills the sector skills council for the building services engineering sector is looking for people with a passion for low carbon skills development to become its board directors.Starting on 1 October 2011, each post involves a commitment of approximately nine days per year for board and committee work.
As well an experience in environmental technologies or training, the National Skills Academy also encourages employers in the sector and those who are able to drive training and the development of products and services.They are looking for those who have a strategic vision to help direct the future of the Skills Academy.
Board members will be representing employers across the BSE sector and their guidance will help ensure the Academys training and products are relevant to businesses.Posts are not remunerated but expenses will be reimbursed.The deadline for applications is 31 August 2011.
