APHC has welcomed the launch of an innovative £200 million programme to help ambitious SME’s with genuine potential for rapid and sustainable growth.
GrowthAccelerator is a new partnership between the private sector and Government, and will see business experts work with companies to identify barriers to growth and ways to overcome them. These barriers will include issues such as securing finance, commercialising innovation or developing leadership and management capability.
John Thompson, Chief Executive APHC, commented “This announcement could not have come at a better time for many of our members and I am pleased the Government have realised that helping the SME sector is a way to help get the economy moving again. With the recent cuts in FITs and delays with the domestic RHI, the SME business sector is in need of some good news. I would encourage members who wish to take advantage of this scheme to apply.”
The Government is running the Business in You campaign to encourage more people to start or grow their business throughout 2012 using a range of existing support services including GrowthAccelerator. More information is available at businessinyou.bis.gov.uk
