APHC’s Gas Competency survey which has been ongoing for the last four weeks has now closed.
The survey, which has received an excellent response from employers and installers, has produced some interesting feedback and has clearly struck a chord with employers keen to influence change in the industry.
Graeme Dryden, APHC Technical Services Manager said: “We are thrilled with the level of response and reaction to our survey. It shows that employers in the industry are concerned about Gas Competency and want to influence changes to future competency arrangements. The review itself has demonstrated the depth of feeling around the subject of competency with many expressing the view that current arrangements are burdensome and need to change. Within the results we were able to identify comments from several certification bodies and training centres and these have been passed directly to EU Skills.”
Responses and comments in the APHC survey have been passed to EU Skills, who will formulate these into a document for inclusion within their own report. Further actions and outcomes will be revealed in due course.
