Associations Week was launched in 2017 as the annual celebration of the work of associations, the individuals who work for them and the volunteers who give freely of their time to make them a success.
Associations Week is organised by the Institute of Association Leadership and Memcom, whose mission it is to connect senior leaders from professional associations, trade associations, membership organisations and the wider non-profit sector to collaborate, to harness best practice and to celebrate success. This year, it will run from 27-30 September.
Industry trade associations play important roles in providing input to policy makers, providing networking opportunities to their members, giving a voice to the industry when it comes to new legislation, and providing relevant tools such as best practice support to that particular industry.
There are a vast range of benefits that come from joining a trade association like APHC. Over the years, we’ve received support from industry organisations, trade manufactures and suppliers, along with quality plumbing and heating businesses themselves, including our own supplier and installer members.
We hope to continue to build on the positive message highlighting quality plumbing and heating engineers and continue to raise consumer awareness of using properly qualified, trained and accredited plumbers. This is why we’re continuing to run Quality Plumber Week.
In fact, in the lead up to Quality Plumber Week, we want to hear the industry’s stories of success during the past year, which in many respects has been one of the most challenging in living memory due to the issues presented by COVID. Whether it’s big or small, we want to hear it, and we want to shout about it.
