Free online workshop – how to trade safely and prosper through COVID-19

The Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) is hosting a free live online workshop for plumbing and heating businesses, focused on how as professional trades people, installers and engineers can trade safely and even prosper through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The online workshop, ‘How to trade safely and prosper through COVID-19’ is open to all plumbing and heating businesses and you don’t have to be a member of APHC to be involved.  It is being hosted on Wednesday 27 May running between 4.00 p.m. and 4.45 p.m.

APHC CEO, John Thompson commented: “The way plumbing and heating businesses trade is changing; and it is more than likely going to change forever.

“The Government recently published new guidance on creating COVID-Secure working environments, and this requires operational changes to be implemented.  Consumers are being more selective and cautious when appointing trades people to work in their homes, so installers and engineers need to understand what they need to do to gain the confidence of the consumer. Plus, the Government is forewarning of a potential economic recession which is going to mean there will be less work to win, making it vital for plumbing and heating businesses to differentiate themselves with a clear unique selling point.

“All of this is going to have huge implications for plumbing and heating businesses.”

The free online workshop can be accessed via a smartphone, tablet or computer and will provide plumbing and heating businesses with an understanding of:

  • How to gain customer confidence and protect their business through being COVID-Secure
  • Why those who differentiate will be best positioned to prosper
  • The best ways to market their unique selling points
  • How businesses can maximise cashflow
  • What businesses can do to prepare for a recession

Numbers are limited to a maximum of 35.  To book a place, send an email to APHC at marketing@aphc.co.uk before 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday 26 May. APHC will then provide simple instructions detailing how to access the live online workshop.
